Compliance through analysis
At Phytextra, quality is not declarative: it is measured. Every raw material and every batch of finished product goes through our laboratories before release.
Audited, certified commitments
Our production sites are ISO 22000 certified (food-safety management) by Bureau Veritas Certification, and apply Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) as well as the HACCP hazard-analysis method.
Our industrial facilities can also manufacture certified Organic and Halal references, and produce to the NF EN 17444 anti-doping standard for products intended for athletes. Our partner laboratories are COFRAC accredited.

Two in-house laboratories, six COFRAC partners
Two in-house laboratories control the quality of the raw materials used and guarantee product quality throughout the manufacturing process. Every raw material is identified by FTIR spectroscopy before use, and finished forms undergo pharmacotechnical and physical testing.
Critical analyses are never outsourced lightly: six COFRAC-accredited partner laboratories carry out final release analyses and the stability studies that validate product shelf life.
What we test in-house
- Microbiology
- FTIR raw-material identification
- Disintegration
- Hardness
- Friability
- Particle size
- Density (densimeter)
- Loss on drying
- Thickness
- Stability studies (partner labs)
Each product specification also sets strict microbiological criteria (total aerobic count, E. coli, coliforms, salmonella, yeasts and moulds) and heavy-metal limits — lead, cadmium, mercury — verified by analysis.
The European framework, among the strictest in the world
European regulation, overseen by EFSA (the European Food Safety Authority), requires rigorous scientific validation of every health claim and full traceability, from raw-material origin to finished product.
In France, ANSES's nutrivigilance system provides a post-market safety monitoring programme unique in the world, making "Made in France" a guarantee of reliability.
From raw material to finished product
Every batch is documented end to end: raw-material origin and certificates of analysis, manufacturing parameters, in-process controls, release testing. Nothing leaves our sites without a complete batch file.
